Tornus
Tornus is in active development. Public downloads are not available yet — this page will be the place to get the game when testing opens up.
Tornus is a multiplayer online role-playing game where the entire world reaches you through sound. Footsteps change with the ground beneath you. Streets, buildings, and landmarks announce themselves as you travel. Combat, magic, weather, other players — everything has a voice or a sound, positioned around you in space.
What you can do in Tornus
- Choose your path: warriors, rogues, pathfinders, mages, ritualists, healers — each class with multiple specializations that play genuinely differently.
- Fight together: real-time combat against monsters and world bosses, in parties, raids on dungeons, or player-versus-player if you dare to flag up.
- Live in the world: craft weapons and armor, gather materials, tame and ride mounts, trade on the auction house, earn achievements.
- Build a community: guilds with treasuries and wars, parties, friends lists, private messages, custom chat channels — even marriage, with an actual in-game wedding.
- Explore by ear: sonar scanning, an audio atlas, named roads and intersections spoken as you cross them, and navigation tools designed for players who build their map in their head.
Built for blind players, full stop
Tornus needs no screen and no mouse. It speaks through your screen reader or its own voice, every menu and every text box is fully keyboard driven, announcements can be filtered to your taste, and every key can be rebound. There is no "accessibility mode" — the whole game is the accessibility mode.
Tornus Forums
Talk with other players, get help, report bugs, and share ideas on the Tornus forums. They are reachable here on the web and from inside the game, using the same account, with no separate sign-up.
How to get it
When public testing begins, the download and a getting-started guide will be right here, and the game will keep itself up to date automatically after that. Watch the home page for the announcement.
